Red Stick School of Fencing (RSSF), located at 15450 George O’Neal Road – Suite 11, is Baton Rouge’s first permanent fencing facility and is home to the Baton Rouge Fencing Club which was founded in 1976.  

Our fencers range from raw beginners to national competitors and the ages range from 5 years old on up.  We provide training through group classes, private lessons, and open fencing hours.  Our objective is to bring out the best in everyone while having a fun time.

The school’s owner and fencing coach is Ryan O’Connor.  He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (Secondary Education) and has been fencing for over a decade.  He holds Moniteur certifications in epee and foil from the United States Fencing Coaches Association.
